The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his debts and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their position as key figures in the influential clan could help the team access locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Explorers and Strategists tables.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
